The Solution

 Our scope included the drainage works on the northbound, southbound and central reservation. At peak we had 13nr, 6 man drainage gangs on site supported with 5nr experienced setting out engineers. The project was managed by section foremen and an overall works manager. Our package included the following:

·         23,000 metres of new carrier / filter drainage. Ranging from 150mm – 900mm diamater pipes with depths up to 6.0m deep

·         35,000 metres of new narrow filter drain

·         15,000 metres of existing drainage removed

·         3,000 metres of “dig downs” to repair existing drainage system

·         600nr new catchpits ranging from 1050mm to 2400mm diameter

·         14nr Hydro International Downstream Defenders

·         45nr Hydro International First Defense Units
